Please read through a few clarifications:
As you may know, the Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA) aka Bright Futures Scholarship Application opens tomorrow, October 1st.- Everyone should apply for the FFAA, EVEN if you do not meet the requirements for Bright Futures yet. You have until graduation to update test scores, community service hours, and GPA.
- The name you use to sign up for the FFAA needs to be exactly how it appears in the school system. For example, if your name is Christopher Sanchez Rodriguez, but it appears in the school system as Christophe Sanchezrodg, then you need to register as Christophe Sanchezrodg.
- Students who are depending on their IB diploma for Bright Futures STILL NEED TO SUBMIT THE APPLICATION. If you do not submit the application, you will not receive the scholarship.
I have also attached a “cheat sheet” for filling out the application. Please read through and use it as you submit your application. 25 bright futures cheat sheet
