Gables Wellness

"Gables provides students with numerous opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities, such as clubs and sports. Despite the demanding academic workload, Gables students showcase a strong work ethic and a positive attitude toward their tasks and manage to balance their academic and social lives by actively participating in various clubs. These clubs not only benefit the school but also provide various advantages to the students in their present and future pursuits," sponsor Elizabeth Kiely said.

Andrea Jamie Medical Leaders

"At our meetings, we often have guest speakers, who tell us about what it’s like being an M.D. and answer questions. We also have interactive activities, such as building models of lungs, or suture labs, which teach members how to throw a stitch, something every med student will eventually have to learn," junior Naomi Galex said.

Future Business Leaders of America

"FBLA stands for Future Business Leader of America [which] showcases the dedication and hard work put in by the members in Gables. Moreover, FBLA offers various events and workshops that cater to everyone's interests, ranging from public speaking to entrepreneurship. These events provide valuable knowledge and skills that can be applied in various aspects of life, including school and future careers," junior Matthew Castano said.

Science National Honor Society

"It is an honor society but what we focus on is we try to do fun labs so kids can experience the lab process and things like that, we also do community service that we require for clubs but that's what we focus on, just exposing them (students) to doing fun activities that are science-related benefits them, that is what I try to do," sponsor Eric Molina said.

Political Activism and Civic Engagement Club

"We provide civic engagement opportunities and strive to get people active in government. As young people, we don’t get to vote on what happens to us. We in PACE want to inspire people to take action and contribute to the political discussions that apply to them. Our club benefits Gables students because it offers them a way to become involved in the choices that are made on behalf of them. We educate people on the issues our country is facing and even invite elected officials to speak," junior Nathalie Schwart said.
