Cavaliers have recently been shocked by a new item on the cafeteria menu. They weren’t dreaming! Thanks to Mrs. Strickland, the Cafeteria Manager, ice cream is now available at Gables.

Since Oct. 22, 2014, Rich’s ice cream sandwiches, Rich’s orange creamsicles, chocolate/vanilla cups and juice pops have been available in both the New and Old Cafeteria.

“I love the ice cream in the cafeteria, especially since they have juice pops for people like me who are lactose intolerant,” junior Kaitlyn Smith said.

The prices are:

• 60 cents for Rich’s ice cream sandwiches, Rich’s orange creamsicles and chocolate/vanilla cups
• 25 cents for the juice pops

(Note: Kids with free or reduced lunch have to pay for the ice cream.)
