Schools were closed due to bomb threat in LA.

On Tuesday, Dec. 15, the Los Angeles Board of Education closed down 900 schools due to a crudely written email that threatened a bombing. New York received a nearly identical letter and dismissed it deeming it a hoax. Read about it here.
The strict preemptive measures that Los Angeles enforced could be attributed to the terrorist attacks in which, two Islamic radicals opened fire killing 14 people in San Bernardino, less that two week earlier. Read about it here.
