South Florida Educational Federal Credit Union (FCU) hosted 130 students from Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) as part of National Job Shadow Day, on February 1- 3, 2016. High school juniors and seniors from nine M-DCPS received an introduction to careers in financial services. Students spent the day learning about credit union operations, participated in an interview and dress-for-success boot camp and met with President/CEO, Mike DiBenedetto.

“This is a great opportunity for students to connect what they learn in the classroom with skills they will need to achieve their career goals,” VP of Marketing Steve Webb said.

Job Shadow Day is a component of South Florida Educational FCU’s financial literacy program, “Got Green?”, which teaches students basic money management skills. South Florida Educational Federal Credit Union is the largest Credit Union headquartered in Miami-Dade County and serves educators, students and the families of Miami-Dade County Public Schools and Miami Dade College. South Florida Educational FCU is committed to increasing educational opportunities for students in Miami Dade County. Please visit https://www.sfefcu.org for more information.
