After the complete destruction of the annual Hunger Games in Catching Fire, Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) finds herself in the supposedly nonexistent District 13. The Hunger Games trilogy is made up of three young adult novels written by Suzanne Collins; it follows the main protagonist, Katniss Everdeen, and her daily life in a corrupted civilization that annually pins teenagers against one another in a fight to the death. All three of the books have received corresponding movies, while the current installment is getting a two-part movie.
“I am really looking forward to seeing part one. It would have been nice to be one complete movie instead of two parts, but I think one year is an acceptable wait,” freshman Rachel Gerchakov said.
From the minute the first teaser trailer for Mockingjay, Part 1 was released, people could already tell that it was going to be a big hit; it actually accumulated a whopping 18,158,081 views.
