It’s finally summer, one of the most anticipated seasons of the year when we all crave frozen and healthy treats to cool us down from the hot weather. Follow these steps to achieve fast and delicious summer treats:
Mouth-Watering Popsicles
Materials and Ingredients :
– Popsicle molds
– Water
– Variety of fruits (strawberries, mangoes, pineapple) Cut into small pieces
– Freezer
Steps:
1. Cut up your fruits into small pieces (small enough to fit them all in the mold)
2. Gently, place all the pieces of fruits into the popsicle mold
3. Pour water into the popsicle mold till it fills the top
4. Place the popsicles into the freezer for about 12 hours or until the water is frozen
5. Enjoy your icy treat!
Strawberries and Chocolate Covered Bananas on a Stick
Materials and Ingredients:
– Thin wooden sticks
– Strawberries (3) and Bananas (about 4 small sliced circles)
– Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar
– Microwave- safe bowl
Steps:
1. Cut your chocolate bar into small pieces and place them in a microwavable bowl
2. Place in the microwave for two-three minutes or until the chocolate melts completely
3. Immediately dip the banana slices into the melted chocolate or cover them in the chocolate using a spoon
4. Set the chocolate covered bananas aside that way they can cool off
4. Gently push the fruits (strawberries and chocolate covered bananas) into the thin wooden sticks
5. Enjoy!
Classic Banana and Strawberry Smoothie
Materials and ingredients
– 1/2 cup of fresh strawberries
– 1 whole banana
– 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream or traditional yogurt
– 1 cup ice
– Blender
Steps:
1. Combine all the ingredients into the blender
2. Blend until thick and smooth consistency
3. Pour into your cup and enjoy!
