You can’t go wrong with chocolate.
This year, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden will be hosting its most delicious event of the year, the 9th Annual International Chocolate Festival. At this mouthwatering festival, taking place from Jan. 23-25, you can enjoy anything including delectable samples from artisan chocolatiers, lectures on chocolate making and much more! Not only will you taste and make some of the best chocolate you’ve ever had, but you will also take a stroll down “Chocowalk,” where you will learn about the life cycle of a plant. The Chocolate Festival at Fairchild admission is included with Garden admission: $25 for non-members and no charge for Fairchild Members. Tickets for non-members can be purchased the day of the festival or pre-purchased below.
On the first day of the festival you can enjoy a lecture by Ricardo Trillos, master chocolatier, where he will speak about “discovering the magic of chocolate from the bean.” After gaining some knowledge on the origins, the next day you can enjoy several other lectures, as well as cooking demonstrations from food experts. Darren Laszio from Jugofresh will even teach you how to make a raw brownie. On the last day, you can sit and learn more about cacao, and watch eye opening cooking demonstrations. The full schedule for the chocolate festival is located on the Fairchild Topical Botanic Garden’s website.
Savor your taste buds next weekend by eating some of the most delicious and fine chocolate in town!
