“Future Hearts” is the sixth studio album released from the pop-punk band All Time Low. It follows their popular album “Don’t Panic.” All Time Low’s career in music began in 2003 in the suburbs of Baltimore. Alex Gaskarth is the rhythm guitarist and main vocalist, Jack Barakat is the backing vocalist, Zack Merrick plays the bass and is another backing vocalist, and their smashing drummer is Rian Dawson.
Something’s Gotta Give
“Something’s Gotta Give” is an upbeat song that is filled with guitar riffs and more of a classical rock feel. The lyrics are more serious and speak of someone who wants hope, yet still has a rock-pop feel. “I’m feeling like a nervous wreck, Living on my last paycheck, I’m a cliché in a song, And everybody’s singing along.” The lyrics are saying that they need something to push them to be better, to get everything in order now, as soon as they can. This song is predictable and great for the old die-hard fans.
Kids in the Dark
Now, “Kids in the Dark” is more of a pop-punk sound with the drums in the background and the way it is sung. There are many different ways to interpret this song, but when you look at it, you can clearly see that there is that type of sad-yet-angry lyrics with a true meaning: “They left us alone, The Kids In The Dark, To burn out forever, Or light up a spark, We come together, State of the art, We’ll never surrender, The kids in the dark.”
