My Idol has without a doubt taken the internet by storm and become its latest, and probably strangest, obsession. This avatar generator is a Chinese application written completely in Chinese. The language barrier is causing some confusion for increasingly hooked users, and that could be making some of the resulting creations even more comical.
The game has taken the country by storm and does not plan on stopping anytime soon; but that’s not to say it doesn’t have its downfalls. First of all, the game is in Chinese, so unless you speak mandarin you’re not even going to understand what’s going on. It performs pretty unstabily with crashes on certain iOS devices. But besides that, it provides hilarious time consumption to see what your friends look like in all sorts of wacky scenarios.
“I think this app is simple enough to attract people and then interesting enough to keep them playing,” freshman Ana Machin said.
With such an addicting game on the market, it’s hard not to want to download it immediately, so if you speak mandarin or just don’t mind, you should do just that.
