As long weekends and vacation time approach, Magic Kingdom offers the ultimate experience for family and friends. Ranging from rides that give off an adrenaline rush to delectable treats; Magic Kingdom has it all! On Friday, Jan. 22, the Class of 2019 grabbed some lunch and rode some exhilarating rides on their first class trip. CavsConnect went along on this trip and rated the freshmens’ experience.
Scenery
Our Rating: A
Despite the gloomy weather, students enjoyed taking pictures with their friends in front of the stunning Cinderella’s Castle.
All the students were looking forward to spicing up their Instagram feeds with the stunning Disney scenery. Rides like the Seven Dwarfs, Winnie the Pooh and Splash Mountain, had waiting areas in line where many took pictures. Magic Kingdom is the perfect place to make memories and take beautiful pictures too!
“It was my first time at Disney and I was so happy to share my first experience with my friends! I had a blast and loved going on all the rides and seeing everything there was to see,” freshman Alejandra Orozco said.
Food
Our Rating: B
Although there are multiple locations to eat at Magic Kingdom, the food is too expensive for the quality. The burritos surely had delicious beans and chips, but sadly the rice to chicken ratio was poorly executed. However, taverns all over the theme park offered iced drinks that could make a blazing hot day bearable. The amount of food that is served is just right; it is just the quality of the food that is the tragic flaw in Disney’s Magic Kingdom cuisine. Fan favorites like Mickey Mouse ice cream treats are safe bets, but aren’t really great to snack on during a cooler, wetter visit.
Experience
Our Rating: A
It was not only the mouthwatering food and aesthetic that that contributed to the trip, it was also the joy that was circulating inside the park. From corner to corner, Magic Kingdom was full of smiles and emitted positivity all around. The weather was not a problem for the freshmen Cavaliers; some even thought the rain added to the experience.
“We were at the most magical place on Earth and being surrounded by great people felt even better,” freshman Nicole Verdesoto said.
The Class of 2019 got to live out a magical day filled with many great perks! The theme park has lots to offer kids and adults. For those in search of a magical experience– this theme park is for you!
