As Advanced Placement (AP) testing season approaches, any kind of tool that can assist in scoring a five should be a must in any students’ phone. This job is exactly what the free app “AP World History” does. The app’s purpose is to help students prepare for the AP World History exam wherever they are. At no cost, students are allowed to have an accessible pocket review of strategies to beat the test. In addition, the app notifies students when a question of the day is uploaded. To allow students to master the type of test they will be given, sample tests from past years are provided through the app. It even has a breakdown of past AP test scores! Along with all the test materials, the app even sends daily reminders to study. This pocket prep has taken the weight off of many anxious students, earning it at a 4.5 rating in the App Store. CavsConnect has rated some of the features the app has below:
Daily reminders to study:
Our Rating: A+
Students are able to set up a daily reminder to study at a desired time. The app will make sure to remind you once or twice throughout the day to hit the books. You can also have an email sent to you when it’s time to study or with a countdown to the day of your AP test. All of these magnificent features are at no cost! Whether it is an 8 a.m. or a 1 a.m. study session, this app has it all.
Practice test:
Our Rating: A+
The app also has access to practice tests that can be programmed to automatically show the answer when taking the test. The tests include questions that cover the majority of the curriculum of AP World History. from the beginning of history up until today. This exclusive feature is supposed to prepare students for the challenging multiple choice part of the test. The multiple-choice answers all include extended explanations for correct answers.
QOTD:
Our Rating: A+
Perhaps the best feature to the app, the question of the day exposes students to high-level multiple choice questions formulated just like AP test questions. Every morning at 9 a.m., a different question is released to every user. Like the practice test, the QOTD allows you to see a detailed explanation for the correct answer. Students have the opportunity to see a variety of topics and refresh their brains as they skim through different periods of time with the questions of the day.
“I personally think it’s fantastic if you are in a constant rush; however, in order to have full premium access you need to pay. But I generally love it,” freshman Dominique Babin said.
This innovative tool is available in the App Store for any student looking to prepare for the AP exam using all kinds of tools. Within a few weeks of downloading this app, students should feel that they are totally ready to tackle the AP exam.
