The Cavaliers hit it out of the park the other day when they played against Ferguson in a sweeping game, which ended with a win of 17-3.

“We definitely should have been more mentally aware of what was going, on but in the end we pulled through and came out with another district win,” senior Meghan Ballard said .

Even though the team won 17-3, they still feel that they could have performed better, especially when it comes to being more aware during the game. They still managed to hold off Ferguson and only allowed three points. Last year, they lost to Ferguson twice; this year, they are coming in full swing to get their revenge. Throughout the innings, Gables kept scoring, leaving the game with a great score. With good pitching and batting throughout the whole game, the Cavaliers did great.

“We play a tough team [next game], but I have a feeling we’re going to come in with a strong mentality. Hopefully, we play well and we win,” senior captain Lauren Perna said.

In all, it was a good game and a good win for the Cavaliers. Come out and watch them steal their next game against South Dade on March 16, 3:30 p.m. at Gables.
