A week prior to December 9, 8th period classes entered in an alma mater competition to win a spot at the pep rally. Students and teachers had to recite the alma mater by memory, and judges picked the best sounding, most enthusiastic classes. The classes chosen wore white and red and were able to attend at the end of the day. Intense games of red light, green light and the cup game riled up the crowd to show some spirit. We even got to see a tug-of-war between the Mr. Coral Gables contestants. Our very own Cav Man, Gablettes dance team, and cheerleaders made special appearances.
