The 4th of July is fast approaching, and it is not only a day to commemorate the independence of our country, but it is also a day to spend time with family and friends. However, deciding where to spend the day can sometimes be a tough decision. Miami offers a wide array of choices to spend both the day and night with the famous fireworks that occur all over the area:

  • Key Biscayne Fourth of July Parade: Every year, the village of Key Biscayne holds a parade filled with music, floats and fireworks. The parade begins at 11AM, however, you should be there no later than 8 in order to find parking and avoid traffic. One can enjoy the beach in the afternoon while awaiting the fireworks which start at 8PM.
  • Ft. Lauderdale Fourth of July Celebration: With a beautiful scenery and lively atmosphere, Ft.Lauderdale’s celebration is worth traveling for. You can head to the area of Las Olas and enjoy beach games and music beginning at 12:30. At 9PM, there is a firework show that the entire family can enjoy.
  • Miami Beach: If you are looking for a party at night, Miami Beach is the place to be. Ocean Drive celebrates the 4th of July with music beginning at 7PM and a stunning firework show at 9PM. Also, the street is packed with restaurants that will fit all tastes.
  • America’s Birthday Bash at Bayfront Park: Packed with food and music, Bayfront Park celebrates the 4th with energy. The celebration starts at 2PM and ends with the fireworks at 9PM.
  • Jungle Island: Jungle Island is the perfect 4th of July family place. On the park’s Treetop Ballroom you can enjoy all you can eat buffets, music, and even a show with the park’s animals.
  • Charles Hadley Park: Located in 1300 NW 50 Street, the park holds an annual rib cook off with live music, carnival rides, fireworks and food.

With so many places you could be at, the issue won’t be finding what to do on the 4th of July, it will be hard to choose what not to do!
