The holiday season has arrived, and along with it, a multitude of great holiday desserts that are just as loved as the holidays themselves. Among them, one truly stands out from the rest: the holiday cookie. A versatile treat, the cookie can be made to please anybody and bring instant holiday cheer. The hot chocolate cookie brings two beloved holiday treats together in an incredible fusion that is sure to please anyone. This unique cookie has a decadent chocolate base and is topped with a marshmallow, resembling a hot chocolate drink. The cookies are best served warm, when the marshmallow has been toasted and the chocolate is still warm and gooey. Having a plate of hot chocolate cookies at a holiday party is a sure way to impress a crowd, or to really surprise a secret santa. “Gingerbread cookies are probably my favorite holiday cookie because they are delicious and really bring out the holiday season,” freshman Emily Kay said.
